Its funny to see the difference between the major software and hardware companies these days. For software we have Yahoo, Microsoft and Google, who are doing well, competing and coming up with new products to compete with each other. The consumer wins. On the hardware side, Dell, HP and IBM/Lenova are not doing as well. From what my friends tell me Dell has cut its profit margins very thin on their computers. HP just said it will lay of a lot of people. IBM sold its computer hardware division to Lenova. Consumers are still doing well with the low prices, but for how long?

Just something I've noticed after speaking with friends, and from what I've seen in the news.
